96 Blake Street

One of the oldest buildings in New Haven, this c1750 Colonial style cottage was home built home to Deacon John White, Jr. and later Thomas Bills, one of the leading masons who built Yale College's oldest building, Connecticut Hall. The house was abandoned around 1995 and suffered through the seasons. While Colin Caplan was working with Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven he documented and carefully directed the restoration of this neighborhood gem.
